Benefit
A bank's own loan for people with low personal credit scores or income. Eligible: annual income of KRW 40,000,000 or less, or KRW 50,000,000 or less (credit score in the bottom 20% or lower). Limit within KRW 35,000,000 (with an additional emergency living fund of up to KRW 5,000,000 after 1 or more years of faithful repayment); interest rate 10.5% per year or less (varies by bank and is variable). Preferential rates for basic livelihood recipients, single parents, families with many children, multicultural families, and those supporting parents aged 60 or older. Offered by 14 banks. The government plans to expand supply from KRW 4.0 trillion to KRW 6.0 trillion by 2028 and to increase preferential rates by bank (some banks are pursuing a 7% rate cap).
