Income tax exemption on interest and dividend income from savings held by persons of national merit, persons with disabilities and others, and by Basic Pension (기초연금) recipients aged 65 or older. The 2025 tax amendment extended the application deadline to Dec 31, 2028 and narrowed the group aged 65 or older to Basic Pension recipients. The limit is KRW 50,000,000 principal per person (Restriction of Special Taxation Act).
