- Credit Counseling and Recovery Service: for vulnerable debtors who have difficulty repaying through the committee's debt restructuring, have income at or below 125% of the standard median income (기준중위소득) (monthly income of about KRW 3.205 million for 1 person and about KRW 8.118 million for 4 persons in 2026), and new debt in the last 6 months of 30% or less, free consultation, free issuance of a credit counseling report, and free help preparing personal rehabilitation (commencement application and repayment plan) and bankruptcy documents. Basic livelihood recipients, people with disabilities and single parents get free service fees, stamp duty and bankruptcy trustee appointment costs. Basic livelihood recipients, people aged 70 or older and people with severe disabilities get fast-track discharge support. The Korea Legal Aid Corporation Personal Rehabilitation and Bankruptcy Comprehensive Support Center also provides free legal services for those at or below 125% of median income (in cooperation with the Lottery Commission).
