Benefit: Paid by year of independent farming: year 1 KRW 1.1 million per month (12 months), year 2 KRW 1.0 million, year 3 KRW 900,000 (total KRW 36 million). For the 2nd year of independent farming, KRW 1.0 million and 900,000 (KRW 22.8 million), for the 3rd year KRW 900,000 (KRW 10.8 million). Linked to priority support for successor farmer loans, preferential guarantees and farmland leasing.
Who is eligible: Ages 18-39 (2026 guidelines), independent farming experience of 3 years or less, household health insurance premium at or below 140% of the standard median income (as of October 2025), military service completed or exempted, residing in the city or county of the farm.
When to apply: The 1st 2026 recruitment (2025-11-05 to 12-11, 2,000 people, announced January 2026) has ended. The 2nd is planned for the second half of 2026 (schedule not confirmed)
