Who is eligible
Low-income mothers (recipients, near-poverty group, persons with disabilities, single parents) who have lived in Gwangju for at least 1 year as of the birth date, with the birth registration completed
When to apply
Apply within 3 months after the birth (2026 revision; previously 1 month), changed to an advance payment method
How to apply
Apply at the community service center (행정복지센터) of the mother's registered address, then use the service and submit a claim to the public health center (보건소) (based on previous guidance)

Within 3 months of the birth (after the revision). The old rule was 1 month, so be sure to check the latest guidance
Note
Income criteria apply: mothers who are basic livelihood recipients, in the near-poverty group, persons with disabilities, or single parents. Can be used at postpartum care centers, hospitals and clinics, pharmacies, etc. Implementation details (advance payment procedure) are based on Gwangju City's announcement of 2025-12 and may change after the integration.
