Medical Aid Type 2 and similar are reduced by 60% (home 6%, facility 8%). Those under the income and asset thresholds set by the Ministry of Health and Welfare get a 40% reduction (home 9%, facility 12%) or 60% reduction. Non-covered items such as food ingredient costs are paid in full by the user.
