- In effect from January 2026. Seoul metropolitan area, standard type (modes costing under KRW 3,000 per trip): general KRW 62,000; youth, seniors and 2 children KRW 55,000; 3 or more children and low-income KRW 45,000. Plus type (including GTX, wide-area buses, etc.): KRW 100,000 / 90,000 / 80,000. Thresholds differ by region (Seoul metropolitan area, general regional areas, preferential and special support areas). No separate card is needed; the system automatically applies whichever is more favorable compared with the percentage type.
- Who is eligible
- Residents of K-Pass participating local governments aged 19 or older. The requirement of 15 or more trips a month is a percentage-type criterion (check official sources for flat-rate details).
- When to apply
- Year-round; refunded the month after use.
- How to apply
- Existing K-Pass users are enrolled automatically without further application. New users should get a card, then sign up and register it at korea-pass.kr.
- Important notes
- Half-price thresholds apply through September 2026 use. Original thresholds are restored from October.
- Note
- The temporary 'half-price' period (threshold cut by 50%) from April to September 2026 ends with September use; from October use, the original thresholds apply. Check korea-pass.kr for specific amounts outside the Seoul metropolitan area.
