- Benefit
- Age 19 or older, living in a participating local government. With 15 or more trips a month, the refund rate applies to spending on up to 60 trips a month (2 per day): general (ages 35-64) 20%; youth (ages 19-34), seniors (age 65 or older) and parents of 2 children 30%; parents of 3 or more children 50%; basic livelihood recipients and near-poverty group 53.3%. In the first month of enrollment, the refund is paid even with fewer than 15 trips. Covers buses, subways, the Airport Railroad and wide-area railways (excludes express and intercity buses, KTX and SRT).
- Who is eligible
- Residents of K-Pass participating local governments aged 19 or older (including foreigners). The refund rate varies by age, number of children and low-income status.
- When to apply
- Enroll anytime; settled early the following month based on the month of use and paid by the card company (up to 14 days stated).
- How to apply
- After getting a K-Pass-eligible card, sign up and register the card at korea-pass.kr or in the app (rewards accrue only after registration). Households with multiple children or low income should submit their information under the MY menu.
- Important notes
- Trips taken before card registration do not earn refunds (only after enrollment). No refund for a month with fewer than 15 trips (except the first month).
- Note
- It is automatically compared with the flat-rate type (Modoo Card), and whichever gives the larger refund applies. The youth age range may be extended by local governments (e.g., up to age 39 in Gyeonggi and Incheon, local government programs). Check with your local government whether it can be combined with a regional pass.
