- Who is eligible
- Preschool children aged 24 months or more and under 86 months who are raised at home without using a daycare center, kindergarten, etc.
- When to apply
- From 24 months of age, when Parental Benefit ends, until under 86 months. Paid from the month of application (retroactive payment may be limited, so advance application is recommended).
- How to apply
- Bokjiro (복지로, www.bokjiro.go.kr), Government24 (정부24), or the eup/myeon/dong administrative and welfare center (행정복지센터) at your address (city/county/district office).
- Important notes
- For children born on or after July 1, 2027, an additional KRW 300,000 per month on top of the Basic Child Allowance is planned for children aged 0~1 raised at home, but it is not confirmed. A change to your application is needed when entering a daycare center.
- Note
- The amount shown is the monthly amount under the general standard. Payment stops when a child uses a daycare center, kindergarten, or full-day child care (Idol-Bom) service (paid only for home care). Can be received together with the Child Allowance (아동수당). Suspended during a stay overseas of 90 days or more. The rural/fishing village tier details (KRW 129,000 for 36 to 47 months) need cross-checking, as they come from a legal information source plus one press report.
