- Who is eligible
- Employment insurance insureds of priority support companies who were granted infertility treatment leave under the Equal Employment Opportunity and Work-Family Balance Assistance Act (insured period of 180 days or more).
- When to apply
- Apply from 1 month after the infertility treatment leave starts until within 12 months after it ends. A combined insured period of 180 days or more is required before the leave ends.
- How to apply
- Work24 (고용24, https://www.work24.go.kr) online, or visit or mail to the local employment center. A support decision notice for infertility couple treatment costs can be submitted instead of a medical certificate. Inquiries: Ministry of Employment and Labor 1350.
- Important notes
- Apply from 1 month after the leave starts until 12 months after it ends; no payment after the deadline. Some materials (welfare service guide) state that the benefit application period runs until Dec. 31, 2026, so confirming with the employment center whether it will be extended is recommended.
- Note
- Applies only to workers of priority support companies (small and medium-sized enterprises). Raised to KRW 336,840 from Nov. 27. The actual payment is based on ordinary wages, within the cap.
