- Among service providers who are not employees, those in occupations specified by Presidential Decree, such as insurance planners, visiting learning-material instructors, parcel and quick-service delivery workers, designated drivers, construction machinery operators, truck owners, after-school instructors, golf course caddies and software engineers, can enroll in employment insurance (monthly pay of KRW 800,000 or more, combinable). Industrial accident insurance applies by treating service providers as employees. If the average monthly pay requirement is met, Durunuri supports 80% of employment insurance premiums.

- Important notes
- Separate criteria apply for monthly pay under KRW 800,000 or periods under 1 month. If enrollment is omitted, the employer has a reporting obligation.
- Note
- New contracts after age 65 are excluded from employment insurance. Exclusions and enrollment methods vary by occupation and business, so check with the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service. For food delivery platform workers, check whether they fall under the quick-service/delivery occupation.
